Last June we posted a number of images of the shipments of plants that were delivered for a new cruise ship of a globally operating cruise line.
In the meantime, all the plants on the enormous cruise ship have been planted and are blooming and growing abundantly.

Last week, Fachjan delivered the first shipments of plants for a new cruise ship of a globally operating cruise line.
A total of 12 trucks with plants in special containers will leave to provide the ship with greenery. Special frames have been made on the ship where the containers fit exactly so that the plants remain stable during the journey.
In recent years, Fachjan has provided greenery for several large cruise ships, which are considered to be among the largest in the world.
Hillenraad 100, 2022
Last Friday evening, November 4, the Hillenraad 100 event was held in The Hague. An event that is held every other year to put the 100 top companies in the sector in the spotlight.
In this list we have been around position 80-90 several times before. In the last list of 2019, there was a huge outlier to place 35, especially because we score high on sustainability and are seen as the market leader in the project market with a healthy outlook for the future.
The top 100 includes very large companies such as growers’ associations, breeding companies and large trade organisations. Fachjan is a relatively small player in this, which makes it an honor to be placed in this list. 2021 was the year to be looked at and which was also an excellent year for Fachjan. In the end we finished in 44th place this year, which we are positively surprised with. For us as a company it is certainly a confirmation that the course we are sailing is the right one. Hopefully we can continue this in the coming years in the exciting times to come.
This week Fachjan reached an agreement with Gerrit Stolze to take over his Kentia nursery in De Lier (NL). This 1.4 hectare greenhouse will be purchased by Fachjan as of November 2022, but the stock has been purchased by Fachjan as of today and is offered via the fixed channels / Floriday.
Stolze was looking for a party that could continue his business and found a suitable partner in Fachjan. The Kentia is a familiar product for Fachjan and it is also popular with the various customer groups that Fachjan supplies. Because quality is paramount at both Stolze and Fachjan and the working method matched each other, a match was quickly made.
Stolze Kentia will be kept intact as much as possible because it has a good reputation in the market. In this way the staff will be retained and Gerrit will continue to work for the company, so that the cultivation knowledge is not lost. However, the sale of the Kentia will go through Fachjan, who will thus be a valuable addition to the range.
Due to this beautiful development, Fachjan will grow to approximately 11 hectares of glass.
Recently a senior citizen complex was opened in the north of the Netherlands, Leeuwarden, with a large covered courtyard garden with a water feature, various terraces and a wide range of Fachjan tropical plants of 25 cm. up to 6 meters high. i.a. ficuses, various palms, scheffleras, musas, alocasias and many flowering plants.
